The University of Greenwich has a fantastic record of achievement in sport on both a competitive and non-competitive level. Despite the high standards regularly achieved, all our clubs are open to all new members irrespective of ability or experience.
Membership is open to all students, whether you are trying a sport for the first time or you are an experienced player. We compete against other universities throughout the country, affiliated with BUCS (formerly BUSA), alongside the RFU, FA and numerous other national governing bodies. If you do not wish to participate at a competitive level there are a variety of intramural sports on offer. From mainstream to extreme the Students Union facilitates, develop and fund the clubs in order to provide sporting opportunities for all.
If you can’t find what you want, why not set up your own team. For help and information on this or on how to get involved in sport, contact Dan Jones (Vice President Sports and Societies). Call in at the SUUG offices located in the centre of Avery Hill’s Southwood Site or the Cooper Building in Greenwich, or phone Dan on 02083319599 or email Sportsandsocs@gre.ac.uk
