Did you know that your union has plenty of places for you to grab a very affordable snack or meal? Well, we do!
Why not take a load off and grab a bite, your wits needs food so boost the power to your brain box between lectures or after class. Or just kick back and read the latest issue of The Telescope…
You will find the staff in all of our shops and bars, friendly and happy as everyone loves to work in a lively atmosphere, they are really helpful as well, and as most of our staff are students they can give you some real personal insight into life at Greenwich, directions to the supermarket, or to the class you were supposed to start five minutes ago. 
We also run promotions in all our shops on a range of products, you’ll probably see notices up here and in the buildings themselves all year round so keep your eyes on the prize :)

Avery Hill – Engine Room Café
Mansion Site
Open (term time only): Mon - Thur 8.30am - 5pm, Fri 8.30am - 3pm
- Sells: clothing and gifts, greeting cards, stationary, mobile top up and international phone cards, medicines
- Drinks & snacks: hot drinks including fresh coffee and great lunchtime deals on Bake ’n’ Bite and Rollover ranges, fresh sandwiches, baguettes, fresh fruit and salads
- Homemade food from our chef including homemade soups, curries, bolognaise, chilli and varied vegetarian options
- ATM inside the café
They’ve got all the usual like jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and crisps and hot or cold drinks, and they even sell stationary and any other stuff you might need for coursework. There’s plenty of seats, and don’t worry there aren’t actually any engines in there anymore :p We advertise all our student union events and promotions here as well.

- Our Let’s Pizza vending machine makes a perfect pizza for £3.50 in under 3 minutes

The village shop is just that, a shop based in a village. Do you see why we named it that? Avery Hill (Southwood site) is where the halls of residence are and 1300 students living there at one time. Extremely useful, no...indispensible when you are craving a pot noodle or you’ve run out of loo roll. The shop sells all sorts of bits from canned fruit to a daily paper and they even sell London transport tickets. The shop is a local and efficient way of getting all your groceries. It even sells knives, forks and plates in case your new housemate has hidden the mouldy remains of last week’s dinner under their bed!

Greenwich – Lé Cafe
Dreadnought Library, Greenwich
Open (term time): Mon - Fri 8.45am - 10pm (Closing time subject to change throughout the year)

Lé Cafe is the petite shop to the left of the entrance of the Library, it is ideal if you need some fresh air and a break from all that reading. There are a few tables and chairs here so you can chat with your friends or spread out and read the mornings papers. They have a big range of sandwiches, salads, pasties, cold drinks and snacks. They also offer hot drinks as well, and they are the nearest student union outlet on the University site itself.

Greenwich – The Greenwich Shop
The Greenwich Shop at the Cooper Building is now closed. You can still find great products and offers at Lé Cafe, by the Dreadnought Library (see information above).
